Job Responsibilities:

This job requires a forward thinking, logical approach as you will be assembling custom doors for unique projects and builds.

  • Ability to assemble  and build custom wood doors
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Measure, cut and assemble (at times using a radial arm saw)
  • Help pin the fire doors at times
  • Safely assemble door frames using pneumatic and manual tools while working in a fast paced environment
  • Use scrapers and rubber mallets to fit pieces together
  • Placement of glass on doors, cutting trim
  • May require operating a Heeseman Sanding machine and work with cranes

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Door Manufacturing facility
  • Ability to ready blueprints, use measuring tape and carpentry tools
  • Repetitive use of hands, bending and lifting standing for long periods of time
  • Grade 12 and/or relevant diploma
  • Ability to work fast paced work environment
  • Excellent fine tune motor skills
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Shift: Day Shift 6:30am – 2:30pm,  Monday -Friday, Overtime may be required

Rate of pay – $20.50

Our client is a manufacturer of instrument panels as both a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier to the automotive industry. As they ramp up for the Fall Season, we are currently looking for Production Team Members for all shifts, located in their facility in St. Mary’s, Ontario.

Job Description

  • Light to medium assembly of automotive interior products, primarily instrument panels
  • Work pace/repetitive movements includes part cycle times varying from 50 to 60 seconds per part at most workstations
  • Standing/walking for up to 8 hours per day
  • Lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling up to approximately 12 kg (26 pounds)
  • Use of hand tools such as a screw gun, heat gun, trimming knife
  • Use of a computer

Requirements

  • Good manual dexterity and an eye for detail

  • Availability to work three rotational shifts, including midnight, afternoon and day shift
  • A Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent; Basic Skills Testing is available and a passing mark would provide equivalency to a diploma

Safety – Personal Protective Equipment

  • Steel-toed safety shoes, CSA approved
  • Safety glasses with side shields
  • Hearing protection required on some jobs

Shift Structure: Days 7am – 3pm / Afternoons 3pm – 11am / Midnights 11pm – 7am

Pay Rate: $19.71 + Shift Premiums
