Qualifications: 

  • Strong sense of responsibility and reliability. 
  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays most weeks. 
  • Willingness to learn about scales and industry-specific practices. 
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
  • Comfortable working in harsh environments. 
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. 
  • Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract. (Class 3 Driver’s License is a huge asset

Preferred but not required:  

  • Experience in electromechanics, mechanical or electrical repair. 
  • Background in scale repair/calibration. 
  • Experience in physically demanding role 
  • Familiarity with technology for troubleshooting and reporting. 
  • Trade license or accreditation. 
  • French language skills are an asset. 

Duties: 

  • Install and maintain scales at customer sites. 
  • Advise customers on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance. 
  • Diagnose and repair scale equipment. 
  • Respond to emergency repair requests. 
  • Provide technical assistance to customers. 
  • Analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues. 
  • Perform field corrections as needed. 
  • Adhere to high safety standards. 
  • Document work through service reports and calibration certificates. 
  • Participate in required training sessions. 

Shift Details: 

  • Monday to Friday, Days with varying start times and end times 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, On-site position. 

Location: Edmonton Area; travelling throughout Edmonton (must be able to start at the Edmonton office when needed)  

Salary:  

  • No experience? $22/hr to start. 
  • Some scale experience? $28/hr
  • Fully trained with accreditation & Class 3 License? $33/hr

Overtime Pay: 

  • 1.5x after 8 hours and on Saturdays. 
  • 2x on Sundays and holidays.
